Dr Anton Stampfl,surface scientist/solid state physicist, Australian Synchrotron Research Program.
Brief CV:
Dr Stampfl is a surface scientist/solid state physicist with expertise in
synchrotron radiation. Anton has held positions at the
Fritz-Haber-Institute, Berlin, the Free University, Berlin, La Trobe University
and held a position as one of the Australian
Synchrotron Research Program (ASRP) staff that are based at the Chicago synchrotron.
Last year Anton returned to Australia to
coordinate ASRP operations at the Taiwanese synchrotron. Over the last 18 years
he has worked exclusively at synchrotrons in
Europe, Asia and the United States. Anton has expertise in using both hard and
soft x-rays and has over 80 papers published in
international journals.
